Lisa A. Shearman concentrates her practice in the area of estate, tax and business planning, with an emphasis on business continuity and succession. She is experienced in estate and gift taxation issues, estate administration and post-mortem planning. She utilizes sophisticated estate planning and business planning techniques when counseling clients. In addition, Ms. Shearman assists clients in the formation and operation of tax-exempt organizations, including private foundations.
Ms. Shearman is actively involved in many pro bono programs. She serves as the Affiliate Director of the Wills for Heroes Foundation and co-coordinates the statewide program.
She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Montgomery County Bar Association, Montgomery County Estate Planning Council and serves on the Development Council at Gwynedd Mercy Academy Elementary.
Ms. Shearman has lectured at the Estate Law Institute for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and was the author of “The Doctrine of Necessaries” published in the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Newsletter.
Ms. Shearman is a graduate of the University of Scranton with a B.S. in Psychology. She received her J.D. from Widener University School of Law and holds an LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
