Susan L. Fox has been an attorney with Plotnick & Ellis, P.C. since 1995, representing clients in all areas of estate planning and administration, and business planning.

Her estate planning work includes preparation of wills and trusts, and advising individuals, families with special needs issues, and business owners. She has expertise in arranging distributions from retirement accounts, lifetime transfers, and generation skipping transfer tax (GST) strategies, including allocation of GST exemption to maximize tax-free transfers of property from one generation to the another.  She also works with clients in connection with the preparation and filing of gift tax returns.

In the estate and trust area, Ms. Fox advises clients in all aspects of administration, including preparation of death tax returns and accountings, and distributions of assets.  She also specializes in post-mortem planning, including the use of disclaimers and maximizing GST planning to reduce or eliminate taxes on future transfers. She has represented clients in connection with Internal Revenue Service audits of estate tax returns, and Internal Revenue Code Section 6166 election extending the time for payment of estate taxes.

Ms. Fox’s Orphans’ Court practice includes audits of formal accountings and guardianship proceedings.

A graduate of the University of Colorado, B.S. with Honors in Journalism, Ms. Fox has a J.D. from Fordham University Law School, and an LL.M. in Taxation from Temple University. 

She is a member of the Pennsylvania, Florida, New Jersey and New York Bars, and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
